The Organising Committee invites you to participate as a sponsor or exhibitor at the 2021 Bowen Basin Symposium.
The Symposium has been a resounding success since its inception in 1985 and we acknowledge that these successes would not have been possible without generous financial support from both the mining houses and the service industries.
In order to build on the past successes, we would like your company to consider financially supporting the 8th Bowen Basin Symposium through one of the sponsorship and exhibition opportunities available for the 2021 event.

The packages have been designed to enhance sponsor and exhibitor visibility across all Symposium media (e.g. print, website, mobile app, various venue vantage points) so that we can assist you to enhance the value of your brand.

The 2021 BBS has been listed on the Schedule of Approved Business Events for the Australian Government’s $50 million Business Events Grants program. This means as a sponsor or exhibitor of the 2021 BBS, you can apply to claim up to 50% of the costs of participating in the Symposium! Find out more information by clicking here.

In the event of a postponement all sponsorships will automatically be transferred to the new Symposium dates. All components of your commitment including accommodation bookings, Welcome Reception RSVP and Symposium Dinner RSVP will also be transferred. If you are unable to attend on the new dates and request a cancellation and refund which will incur a $150 administration fee up until the Cancellation Deadline.
In the event of the cancellation of the Symposium, all registrations and associated components of attendance will be cancelled and amounts refunded in full.
In the event that the state borders are closed between Monday 23 August – Friday 27 August 2021, from your departing city to Queensland and you are therefore unable to attend the Symposium, a full refund will be offered for the value of your sponsorship. For any accommodation bookings the Symposium Secretariat will contact the hotel and put in a request for cancellation, however the cancellation fee will be at the discretion of each individual hotel.
